Lomexin, which contains the drug fenticonazole nitrate, is an antifungal (medicine used to treat fungal diseases) effective against yeasts, especially Candida.
Lomexin is used to treat yeast infections of the vagina and external genitalia (vaginal candidiasis) in adolescent girls 16 years of age and older and in adult women.
Lomexin vaginal soft capsules are for vaginal use (in the vagina) only.
A yeast infection is accompanied by the following symptoms:
– itching in the labia area and vaginal discharge (whitish, lumpy, reminiscent of cottage cheese or a mixture of flour and water, odorless);
– Soreness or burning of the vagina and vulva;
– painful sexual intercourse;
– Redness of the vagina and vulva;
– cracks;
– Swelling/swelling of the tissues of the vagina and vulva.
The use of sperm-destroying contraceptives (so-called spermicides, for example, alone or in combination with a pessary) is not recommended. Any topical treatment may reduce the effectiveness of these contraceptives.

Application and dosage:
Lomexin is for vaginal use (in the vagina) only. The drug should not be swallowed.
Vaginal capsules are inserted deep into the vagina while lying on your back with your legs bent.
The recommended dose of Lomexin is 1 vaginal capsule of Lomexin in the evening before bed (single dose).
A one-day treatment with Lomexin is usually enough to eliminate the symptoms of a yeast infection (candidiasis).
If symptoms persist, a second dose may be given, but not earlier than 3 days after the first dose.
If symptoms persist 7 days after starting treatment, you should consult a doctor.
Use in children and adolescents:
The recommended dosage for adolescents 16 years of age and older is the same as for adults.
