The mode of action

Acetylsalicylic acid is one of the non-opioid pain relievers as well as the non-steroidal anti-rheumatics and inhibits the formation of the so-called prostaglandins (body’s own messenger substances). These messenger substances are involved in the secondary pipe and perception in the brain, they ensure an increased sensitivity of the pain receptors in the body. Acetylsalicylic acid lowers the production of the prostaglandins, which reduces the excitability of the pain receptors and thus subsides the pain.
