20 pieces Easydolor DUO 200 mg ibuprofen/500 mg paracetamol Mechanism of action: Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). The analgesic (pain-relieving) effect of ibuprofen is caused by the peripheral inhibition of the cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) isoenzyme and the subsequent reduction in sensitization of pain-sensitive nerve endings. The antipyretic (fever-lowering) effect of ibuprofen is based on the central inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis in the hypothalamus; ibuprofen reversibly inhibits platelet aggregation. Ibuprofen also has anti-inflammatory effects by reducing pain, swelling and fever caused by inflammation. Easydolor DUO The pharmacological effects of ibuprofen and paracetamol differ in their place of action and manner. These complementary mechanisms of action are synergistic, which means that the product has stronger pain-relieving properties than when using the individual active ingredients. This medicine is particularly suitable for the treatment of pain that requires greater pain relief than 400 mg ibuprofen or 1000 mg paracetamol alone or as an analgesic, for faster pain relief than with ibuprofen alone. Indication: For the short-term treatment of mild to moderate pain associated with migraines, headaches, back pain, menstrual pain, toothache, muscle pain, cold and flu symptoms and sore throat. Paracetamol belongs to the group of antipyretic analgesics (fever-reducing painkillers).
