The composition of the drug Stacil includes acetylsalicylic acid, which in small doses belongs to the group of antiaggregants (suppresses the aggregation of platelets). Thrombocytes (platelets) are small blood cells that cause blood to clot and thus participate in the formation of thrombosis (formation of blood clots in blood vessels). When a thrombus (thrombus) forms in an artery, it stops blood flow and cuts off oxygen. If it happens in the heart, it can cause a heart attack (myocardial infarction) or an attack of angina pectoris; in the brain can cause a stroke.
Stacyl is also used to prevent blood clots from forming after certain types of heart surgery to widen and relax blood vessels.
