active ingredient: calcium carbonate (Calcii carbonas).
1 hard capsule contains 1000 mg of calcium carbonate, or 400 mg of calcium ions. Excipients: magnesium stearate, talc; gelatin capsule: titanium dioxide (E 171), indigotine (E 132), gelatin.

The dosage is set based on the daily requirement:
Youth and adults 800 – 1200
pregnant and breastfeeding 1000-1500

usual dosage:
adults: 1 to 2 hard capsules (200 to 400 mg ionized calcium) 2 to 3 times daily; do not take more than 1200 mg of calcium ions per day, i.e. no more than 6 Calperos 500 capsules
children over 7 years and adolescents: 1 capsule Calperos 500 (200 mg ionized calcium) up to 3 times daily with meals.
contraindications:
do not use the drug if you have:
hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug,
increased concentration of calcium in the blood and excessive excretion of calcium in the urine (during, for example, hyperfunction of the thyroid gland, parathyroid glands, overdose of vitamin D3, cancer, allowing descaling, severe renal failure, dialysis treatment,
nephrolithiasis
treatment with cardiac glycosides
severe hiperkalciuria (excessive excretion of calcium in the urine).
not for use in children under 7 years of age.
side effects:
flatulence with release of gases,
nausea, diarrhea, constipation,
stomach ache,
itching, urticaria, rash.
unknown frequency of side effects:
milk-alkali syndrome.
warnings and precautions:
if there is chronic renal failure, it is necessary to monitor the concentration of calcium and phosphorus in the blood.
Concomitant use of high doses of Calperos and vitamin D, thiazide diuretics and/or drugs or products containing calcium (eg milk) may lead to an excessive increase in calcium concentrations leading to kidney damage, or milk-alkali syndrome. This also applies to pregnant women taking high doses of calcium and patients with impaired kidney function.
if you are taking cardiac glycosides, the use of Calperos should be discussed with your doctor (using both of them may increase the effect of the glycosides and cause arrhythmia).
the drug should be stored in a place invisible and inaccessible to children. Do not store at temperatures above 25°C, protect from moisture.
